I don't know how many of you know this, but I have Asperger's, and finally decided to let anyone who sees this know.

Asperger's is a disorder on the Autism Spectrum and is in essence a communication disorder.

It makes social life hard. End of discussion. If you want to have an in-depth discussion note me or something...

But seriously. People with AS aren't weird, they're just different. Get over it!

Also, apparently there are people on the internet who claim to be depressed insomniac Aspies with ADD to get away with being rude, or they self-diagnosed themselves by reading a Wikipedia article.

I have ADHD and Asperger's, legitimately diagnosed, and I am on medication (actually, since the first grade).

I do not know if I am depressed or I just have teenage angst.

I have trouble sleeping at night a lot, but I don't think I really have insomnia.

So... I wasn't making this stamp to get attention. I really just wanted people to know that people with AS have it (socially) hard and most of us try very hard to overcome our obstacles.

I can be a real bitch, a meanie, a smart-ass, etc. but I NEVER use my AS as an excuse for it. It makes it hard but using my disorder as an excuse would be pathetic.

:) yep I'm so socially awkward it's scary. And I have too many obsessions..

But people with Asperger's pwn everyone else...

Exactly, in some ways we can be mentally retarded. But in many many more we are mentally superior than others. I've lived with it all my life but was not diagnosed till Spring 2007.

I know... like socially it's absurd. But our IQs are generally very high.

Indeed, it took until ninth grade for me to get diagnosed. I've had it all my life, I think. I was diagnosed with ADHD in the first grade though, so I have both, lol...

This is so true, people with asperger's aren't weird at all, and it isn't their fault that they had to have it. It's not like they asked for it anyway.
